Welcome back to ASEP!

Well, school starts today, and I think we are pretty prepared with our paperwork packets. There are 3 packs in all that need to be filled out in order to be successfully registered in the program. The first is the registration pack, which includes the financial aid application if you wish to apply. The second is the city paperwork, which everyone must fill out since this is a program partially funded by the city of San Jose. Finally, the third pack is all the paperwork that we need for your child's file: Liability waiver, Behavior Management Form (please read to your child), and most important, the emergency card. I know some of this information may feel redundant, but I assure you it is necessary for safety reasons.

We've had some changes in the center! In Little kids portable we have rearranged a little bit, and have really begun to spruce things up, such as our new Jungle Library where the kids can read under hundreds of flowering vines!

The big kids portable unfortunately is under development still, this year there have been some changes with the school space. Though we still get to use it after school, we cannot keep our items in the room. Fortunately, all your kids have been very understanding in helping us cart our toys and supplies in and out each day. Over time, we will have a routine down, right now we are just learning what space we can and cannot use. I feel it's really important to have the two separate rooms, so that more age appropriate activities can take place.

Well, the kids will be getting out of school in a few hours here, and I have some last minute preparations to do!
Keep checking our journal, we will be updating it at least weekly with things we are doing, funny stories of the center, and ideas to take home.
